Who handles the information
REMA Care is an initiative delivered through collaboration between REMA CBO and Common Goal Research Center. Information submitted through this website is handled for REMA Care’s appointment coordination and enquiry-response activities.
What we collect
The forms may collect names, contact details, the requested service, preferred appointment arrangements, location, enquiry type and the message or scheduling note you provide. Appointment registration information may be treated as health-related personal data even when no diagnosis or medical record is included.
Why we use it
We use the information to receive and review your request, contact you, coordinate an appointment or respond to an enquiry, maintain an operational history and protect the service from misuse. Providing the information is voluntary, but REMA Care may be unable to respond or arrange an appointment without the required contact and request details.
Submitting for another person
If you provide information about another person, you should be authorised to do so and should share only what REMA Care needs to coordinate the request. Do not upload or enter medical records, laboratory results, diagnoses or detailed clinical histories in these website forms.
Who can access it
Access is limited to authorised REMA Care staff who need the information for the stated purposes. The website also uses service providers supporting hosting, secure database storage and email delivery, currently including Vercel, Supabase and Google-hosted email services. These providers may process information outside Kenya as part of providing their services.
Security and retention
REMA Care uses authenticated staff access, role restrictions, database access policies, encrypted web connections and activity records to reduce unauthorised access. Operational requests are reviewed periodically and should be deleted, anonymised or restricted when no longer reasonably necessary, unless continued retention is required or authorised for a lawful purpose.
Your choices and rights
You may ask about the information REMA Care holds about you and request access, correction, restriction, objection or deletion where applicable. Contact contact@remacare.co.ke. You may also contact Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner if you have concerns about the handling of personal data.
